KAFEC was formally established in 1994 in recognition of the need for K&M colleges to work collaboratively and in partnership to improve the funding, quality and curriculum offer for potential and existing learners in Kent and Medway.
Surprisingly it is a virtually unique partnership with very few similar models nationally. The benefits of partnership are very real and of great advantage to the people and businesses across the county.
There are a number of KAFEC network groups, all overseen by the KAFEC Principals' Group, which meets six times each year to discuss and carry forward strategic issues regarding education and training.
